Summer birthdays in the UAE can be a bit tricky. It’s way too hot to venture outdoors and let’s face it, most of the indoor venues charge an arm and a leg.
We recently teamed up with some of our favourite local brands, along with some of our favourite Harri & Eve products to put on an indoor party fit for any girl and her besties. Here is our go-to guide for everything – from the perfect party wardrobe to the cake and more!
Theme –
While a good theme goes a long way, our older girls are officially into the slumber party phase…which, lets face it, makes things a bit easier to plan. Good tunes for a dance party, a few old-school party games, good food and the all-nighter chatting and laughing is a classic choice and one that ensures good memories will be made!
Decor –
Our party was decked out by BoxFetti and they did not disappoint. Their perfectly styled themed boxes are not only gorgeous but they include everything you need to create the full party setup, ready to go! You can also add single items and packs depending on the numbers, so it’s super flexible and delivered right to your doorstep. Plus, they have just about everything theme under the sun (including themes for the grown ups)! Fashion –
Oh Bob & Blossom, how we love you! Their dresses and capes are simply divine and perfect for any party. A soft, cotton body with a tulle skirt, that comes in loads of gorgeous colours, makes this dress a favourite. And their capes, also available in multiple colours, are made from soft chiffon and complete any party look. We accessorised the looks with Mimi & Lula hair accessories and of course…their Glitter Wand!

The Cake –
There is one – and only one – cake maker we call on for all parties and celebrations….and that’s Kiran from Just1Slice. Her cakes are stunning but taste even better than they look. And a big win for our family, they can be made gluten free. There has never been a time that we haven’t been floored by her creations.

Favours –
Can’t send the guests home empty-handed, but that doesn’t mean you need to break the bank with the favours. For our last few parties, we have used a mix of hair clips, ponies and headbands – you can either give each guest a headband as the main favour or split out the packs of ponies and clips as part of the favour bag. We also have a Small & Quirky section on our site with loads of cute, and reasonably priced bits that would help to make up the perfect favour bags.
